Thomas A Kirby

Thomas A. Kirby, 88, of Hackensack, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 18, 2025. Born in Tuamgraney, Ireland to the late Julia (nee Ryan) Kirby and the late Thomas Kirby. He was the beloved husband of the late Barbara (nee Hanlon) Kirby, endeared uncle of Patricia Maloney, and good friend of Amy and Brian who were like family. He is predeceased by his siblings Mary, Patrick, Michael, Joseph, Daniel, John, Matthew, Bridget, Margaret, and Julia. Thomas was a man who found joy in the simplest of moments and the company of those he loved. He was a truly good person, known for his humility and genuine warmth. He cherished time spent with family and friends, always bringing a sense of ease and kindness to any gathering. For many years, Thomas worked diligently at Con Edison as a Maintenance Mechanic, where his hard work and dedication were evident to all who knew him professionally. He was also a devout Parishioner of St. Joseph’s R.C. Church, where he found spiritual solace and a supportive community. Thomas will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A Funeral Mass in Thomas’s honor will be held at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church, Hackensack on Tuesday, December 23rd, beginning at 10 A.M. followed by interment at Maple Grove Park Cemetery, Hackensack.
