Silas Joseph Dalonges, age 60, of Ridgefield Park, NJ, passed away unexpectedly on October 30, 2024, in Pompton Plains. Born on December 30, 1963, in Jersey City, Silas was the son of Anthony Dalonges and Florence Lorentz. A skilled carpenter, he owned and operated Sy’s Remodeling for 29 years, dedicating his career to his craft, community, and most importantly his family and friends. Silas was a devoted husband to Mary for 36 years, and a loving father to his daughters, Katie and Corinne (and her husband Sabino), and his son Derek (and partner Robby). He was a cherished Grandfather to Eric Sean, Nicola, Rosangelia, and Sabino Jr., and a beloved brother to Anthony and Brian Dalonges. Silas found joy in gardening, meditation, and expressing his creativity through carpentry. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family and friends. Guided by his faith, he carried God’s presence with him throughout his life. His warmth and dedication leave a lasting legacy in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He is at peace knowing he is in “The Care of God.”
