Kearney, Sheila (nee Meenaghan) passed away peacefully on February 5, 2026. She was born in County Mayo, Ireland on February 9, 1943, where she lived until the age of 10 before making the journey across the pond to Mount Vernon & the Bronx NY, later raising a family in Ridgefield Park, NJ for 35 years and ultimately retiring in the Manasquan, NJ.

Sheila is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Timothy; son Kevin, son Patrick & Wife Marissa; grandchildren, Landon & McKenzie. Along with many relatives both here & abroad in Ireland. Predeceased by her father, Patrick, and her mother, Mary (née Lavelle) and sisters Bridget, Mary, and Emily.

Sheila was a cancer survivor and one of the strongest, kindest women you will ever meet. She was a devout Catholic who loved family vacations, walking on the boardwalk, attending Irish music concerts/festivals, talking on the phone for hours, and watching classic movies & TV Shows.

We know for certain that our wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, friend Sheila was welcomed into Heaven by the Lord, because she truly was one of His greatest creations. She will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 11th, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Voorhees-Ingwersen Funeral Home, 59 Main Street, Ridgefield Park, NJ 07660.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, February 12th, at 10:00 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 114 Mount Vernon Street, Ridgefield Park, NJ 07660. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park, 234 Paramus Road, Paramus, NJ followed by a Repass at Biaggios Restaurant.
