Salvatore Joseph Criscuolo Jr., aged 82, of Clifton (formerly of Ridgefield Park), passed away peacefully on December 2, 2024. He was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and brother leaving behind a legacy of love and community involvement. Salvatore was the devoted husband of Barbara (née Carabello) and the proud father of Peter and his wife, Tracey, and Paul and his wife, Darlene. Salvatore’s greatest joy in life was his grandchildren: Alexander, Andrew, Nicole, Danielle, and Dylan. He was a loving brother to Anthony and his late wife, Caroline; Thomas and his late wife, Laura; and Robert and his wife, Camille. He was also a devoted uncle to several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Fred, and his wife, Mary Ann, as well as his sister, Ann. Salvatore was born in New York, NY, to the late Assunta (née Astarita) Criscuolo and the late Salvatore Joseph Criscuolo. His professional life was marked by success as the owner of several companies, including Cris & Sons, Ridgefield Park Transport, Dahl Corp, and Rainbow Fruit & Nut Company. Salvatore was a dedicated member of his community, contributing his time and energy to the Rotary Club of Ridgefield Park, Ridgefield Park Baseball Organization, and a proud member of the Don Bosco Prep Father’s Club. His warm heart and unconditional love for his family and friends will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A Visitation in Salvatore’s honor will be held on Sunday, December 15th, beginning at 2 PM and concluding at 6 PM. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, December 16th, 10 AM at St. Andrew the Apostle R.C. Church, Clifton. Salvatore will be laid to rest at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum, East Hanover.
