Rose Marie Truncellito

December 2, 1929 — April 7, 2018

Truncellito, Rose Marie (nee Cantalupi) age 88 of Ridgefield Park passed away on April 7, 2018. Rose Marie met her husband John while attending a dance which they often enjoyed. They were married for fifty two years. She enjoyed a rich life in many aspects of the arts. As a teenager she was selected to sing at Roosevelt Stadium. She was a creative writer who wrote jingles for companies and won prizes for them. One of the prizes was for a trip to Jamaica which was where Rose Marie and John enjoyed their honeymoon. She entered a contest to write about her mother and won for her to win the “Mother of the Year Award” in the United States. She was involved in many organizations such as the PTA Bergen County Artist Guild, Ridgefield Park Art Association, Bogota Art Association and held several offices in each of the various groups. Rose Marie studied at the Art Students League and at the Ridgewood Barn in Ridgewood, NJ. At the Ridgewood Barn she received numerous awards for her paintings and excelled in portraiture. She taught art in Ridgefield Park and Little Ferry Adult Educations. Later in life she achieved her dream of graduating college with a double major in business and Fine Art from Thomas Edison State University. She and John enjoyed traveling throughout their marriage. She was a devout Catholic who especially enjoyed traveling to Lourdes. She had numerous interests including plants which she cared for nearly one hundred of them. Also loved all the dogs she had in her family especially Tico and Pudgie who were great companions. Beloved wife to the late John Joseph. She leaves her son Dennis Truncellito and his wife Jeannette and her daughter Colleen Truncellito. She will be missed by her close friend Lori De Vito, her sister-in-law Frances Di Giovanni and her niece Lucille. Visitation Monday 4-8pm. Funeral from Vorhees Ingwersen Funeral Home 59 Main St. Ridgefield Park on Tuesday 9am. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Francis RC Church, Ridgefield Park at 9:30am. Interment George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
