Robert L. Quimby, age 72, of Little Ferry, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, January 17, 2026. Born in Jersey City, NJ, to the late Marie (nee Crowe) and the late George L. Quimby. He was the beloved son in law of Helen Ressegiue who he helped care for during her journey with Alzheimers. He was the beloved husband of Linda (nee Ressegiue) Quimby, devoted father of Robert and Melissa, endeared brother of Kenneth and his wife Denise, and predeceased by Gregory and Brian, adored uncle of Alicia, Elizabeth (Dean), Madden, Aydin, Megan, Sabrina, Samantha, and JoJo, and his cherished bonus nieces, Carla, Rachel and Emily, bonus children Randy, Jon, Heather, and their children, cousin Honey and very best friend to Little Tommy Ghilain. Rob cherished every moment with his friends, too many to name but each loved the same. Robert dedicated his career to Local 102 I B.E.W as a proud Electrician. A lifelong Yankee fan, he faithfully attended 49 consecutive home openers with his son, his gang of likeminded friends and their kids! He held season Jet tickets for many torturous years, and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. Robert’s love for sports extended to golfing and eagerly participated in the CWI Golf Tournament. Robert took great joy in attending Ridgefield Park’s annual 4th of July parade and his heart was always open to every animal he encountered. He found immense fulfillment in coaching Little Ferry’s baseball and football teams, mentoring young athletes and shaping their passion for the game. Above all, Robert treasured spending time with his family making every moment special. He will be sadly missed by family and friends leaving behind a legacy of unwavering love.
A Visitation in Robert’s honor will be held on Friday, January 23rd, beginning at 4 P.M. and concluding with a Catholic Blessing at 8 P.M. Cremation Private.
