Richard J. Burke

Richard J. Burke, of Toms River, formerly of Ridgefield Park, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at the age of 65 years. Prior to retiring Richard spent much of his life serving the communities on Teaneck and Ridgefield Park as a Firefighter with Hose #4. Relief associate for Teaneck and Ridgefield Park. Devoted husband of Lori Judith (nee Convoy) Burke. Beloved father of Caitlin Burke, Annalise Burke, Taylor Wilson, and Christopher Wilson. Dearest brother of Glenn Burke and his partner Thomas Mcardle. Lifelong best friend of Jeff and Karen Schmidt. The funeral service will be held at Vorhees Ingwersen Funeral Home on Saturday, October 9th at 10AM. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4PM to 8PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306.
