Peter Flynn

Peter Thomas Flynn, lifelong resident of Ridgefield Park, passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2019 at the age of 47 years. Carpenter for the New York City District Council of Carpenters Local 157. Member of the Knights of Columbus in Ridgefield Park, "Young Guns" men's softball team, baseball coach for the Ridgefield Park Recreational League, and basketball coach at St. Franics RC Church in Ridgefield Park. Peter was one of the most compassionate and welcoming people you would ever have the privilege of knowing. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need without expecting anything in return. Adored son of Eileen (nee Sexton) and Peter Flynn. Beloved husband of Cheryl (nee Smith) Flynn. Devoted father of Rylie and Katie Flynn. Loving brother of Maura Opperman, Patricia Artrip and her husband Willis, and Tommy Flynn and his wife Ashley. Dearest son-in-law of Kathy and Harold Smith. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and his cherished dog Bailey that never left his side. Visitation will be on Thursday, September 12th from 3 to 8pm. Cremation is private.
