It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Miguel A. Mercado (08/23/1970 - 05/16/2026). Miguel was currently employed at Holy Name Hospital. Prior to working for Holy Name, Miguel dedicated 25+ years to Hackensack University Medical Center serving as their main "man behind the camera." Miguel was an avid photographer, never leaving home without a camera or means of capturing the moment. He had many loves in life. He enjoyed rooting for the NY Yankees, drinking a nice cold Coca-Cola, listening to all the one- hit wonder bands of the 80s, smashing cake in every Birthday girl or boy's face. He was certainly the life of the party. But what he loved and adored over everything was his Family. Miguel is survived by his wife of 16 years, Kelly, his daughter Mickaela (14), daughter Desire (24), parents Nury and Cesar Mercado, brothers Leonardo (Erin) and Albert (Diana), sister Margarita (Danny), his beautiful nieces, Karla, Talya, Katie, Molly and Abbye and his lovable pup, Mocha.

A Celebration of Life in Miguel’s honor will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026 beginning at 4 P.M. and concluding at 8 P.M.
