Michael L LaTorre

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Michael L. LaTorre, of Toms River, a man whose life was defined by the love for his family, on Sunday, October 26, 2025. Born in Jersey City, NJ to Starr (nee Gozdenovich) LaTorre, Thomas LaTorre Sr. and stepmother Carol. Michael lived a life marked by dedication, kindness, and hard work.

He leaves behind his beloved sons, Michael and Garrett LaTorre, grandson Troy, and his former wife Rosie, who remained a loving and caring friend. His siblings Thomas LaTorre (Nancy), Russell LaTorre (Lisa), Tracey Yawger, along with many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.

Michael grew up learning the value of hard work early in life where he was known for his craftmanship and commitment to doing things right the first time. He found peace in the outdoors, loved his dogs, and had a special gift for nurturing any injured animal he found back to health. But what Michael loved more than anything was fishing and being with his sons.

A Memorial Service in Michael’s honor will be held on Saturday, November 1st, beginning at 12 P.M. and concluding at 4 P.M.
