Mary Wood

Mary Wood (nee Giambarro), of Ridgefield Park, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 6, 2025, at the age of 89.  Born in New York, NY to Anna and Giuseppe Giambarro, Mary was the heart and soul of her family.  She was a devoted mother to Eileen Nicholas and Robert Wood and cherished grandmother to Ashley, Shana, Stephan, and Matthew.  Mary’s love for her grandchildren was unmatched, and always made time to be present in their lives.

A dedicated family woman, Mary worked as a Bank Teller at PNC Bank for many years, where she was known for her kindness and generosity.  Mary’s warm heart and gentle spirit touched the lives of everyone she met, and was a source of strength and comfort to her family and friends.

Mary will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.  Her legacy of love, compassion, and unwavering support will forever remain in our hearts.

A Visitation in Mary’s honor will be held on Sunday, June 8th, beginning at 2 P.M. and concluding at 6 P.M.  The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 9th, at 9 A.M. at the East Ridgelawn Cemetery Chapel in Clifton.  Cremation will be private.
