Mary Ellen Nagle

Mary Ellen Nagle (nee Connington), age 84, a beloved longtime resident of Ridgefield Park, was called to eternal rest on Tuesday, May 27, 2025. Born in Newburgh, NY, to the late Frances (nee McEvoy) and the late William Connington, Mary's spirit was as vibrant as her Irish heritage.

For many years, Mary Ellen Served as an Office Manager at Care Plus, where her dedication and warmth touched countless lives. As a parishioner of St. Francis R.C. Church, she found solace and community in her faith.

Mary Ellen's love for her family was immeasurable. She was a true fashionista, always dazzling with her impeccable style, and generous spirit shone through every gift she gave. Christmas was her time to shine, crafting countless mini cheesecakes and her famous gumdrop tree, filling the season with joy and love.

Known for her enormous personality and the whispered words, "You're my favorite", Mary Ellen had a unique way of making everyone feel special. Her grandchildren who affectionately referred to her as "Mada" were her pride and joy. Moments spent doing puzzles and playing Old Maid will forever be cherished.

Mary Ellen is survived by her devoted husband John Berry, her loving children, William Nagle, Scott Nagle, Lori Clolinger and her husband Sal Gaetani, and the late Theresa Canto and her husband Louis, cherished grandchildren, Lacie, Nicole, Jeffrey, Christopher, Cortney, Danielle, Michelle, Kyle, Travis, Jake, Brook, Rylie, Ashlie, Mia, and great grandchildren Paizlie, Khilee, Joseph, Kenzlee, Caurah, and her endeared siblings, Agnes Spiedel and her late husband Arnie, Richard Connington and his wife Nancy, and the late William Connington and his wife Dottie. Her legacy of unconditional love, laughter, and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

A Memorial Mass in honor of Mary Ellen will be held on Saturday, June 7th, 10:00 A.M. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, located at 114 Mount Vernon Street, Ridgefield Park, New Jersey 07660. Inurnment will be private.
