Marie O'Keeffe

Marie (nee Gordon) O’Keeffe, aged 83, of Ridgefield Park, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, February 4, 2025. She was the beloved wife of 53 years to William O’Keeffe spending countless moments of joy together. She was the devoted mother to William Jr. O’Keeffe and his wife Cathy, Karen O’Keeffe, Breda O’Keeffe, and Timmy O’Keefe and his late wife Tracey. The greatest joy in her life were her cherished grandchildren Aileen, Carleigh, and Brodie, and grand puppy Petey. Marie was the endeared sister to Michael, Paddy, Creana, and John. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Marie was born in Galway, Ireland to the late Kathleen (nee Hennelly) and the late Martin Gordon. She immigrated to the United States in 1960, bringing her a warm spirit and a deep love for her family. Marie enjoyed spending time with those she held dear, always ready to dance, laugh, and make memories. A proud member of the Bergen Irish in Dumont, Marie was known for her vibrant personality and her zest for life. Her love for fun and her caring nature will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A Visitation in her honor will be held on Friday, February 7th, beginning at 4 P.M. and concluding at 8 P.M. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 8th, 9:30 A.M. at St. Francis R.C. Church. Marie will be laid to rest at Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa.
