Leonard Royka

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Leonard Royka, a cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend, who left us on Monday, July 28, 2025, at the age of 61. Born in Hackensack, NJ to Emily (nee Kopecky) Royka and William C. Royka, Lenny was a lifelong resident of Little Ferry, where he became a beloved figure in his community.  Lenny loved music - everything from the 50's to the 90's and especially the Beatles! He loved going to Beatles conventions and traveling to record stores in Greenwich Village with his friends.  Lenny was extremely creative and artistic. He possessed a remarkable photographic memory and spent a good amount of his free time drawing and recording music he wrote.  He held a number of jobs - working at Borough Hall in Little Ferry and Dynamex as a custodian, and as a bank courier driving all around the tri-state area.  Lenny’s greatest joy was the time he spent with his family and friends. He leaves behind his brother Steven Royka, sisters Janet Royka and Karen Geary, and his nephew and niece, William and Amy Geary.

He was loved and cherished and will be missed by all who knew him.

Lenny joins family members Willy Royka (brother), his parents, Chris Afram (Janet's partner), and John Geary (Karen's ex-husband) in Heaven.

Inurnment will be held at Maple Grove Park Cemetery, Hackensack on Thursday, August 7th at 10:00 A.M.
