Julio Cesar Arevalo

Julio Cesar (JC) Arevalo of Ridgefield Park, NJ formerly of Union City, NJ passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at the age of 76 surrounded by his loving family. Born on March 21, 1946 in Guatemala City, Guatemala to the late Damian Arevalo and Carlota Elena Paz and was raised in Guatemala.



In 1964, at the age of 18 he made the journey to the United States in pursuit of the American Dream. He attended high school in San Francisco, CA and achieved his diploma before relocating to New York City. He eventually settled in Union City, NJ where he raised his beautiful family. Julio was a free spirit who loved life and lived it to the fullest. His most fulfilling accomplishments were seeing his kids graduate from college and becoming a first-time homeowner in Ridgefield Park, NJ. He happily retired from Grubb & Ellis Management Services Inc. at New York University, NY, NY on August 27, 2015. To him, these accomplishments were the true definition of achieving the American Dream.



Julio loved his family passionately and is survived by his wife and high school sweetheart of 56 years, Martha Azucena Arevalo, daughter Julia Ninette Arevalo and her husband Luis Antonio Hernandez, son Darrell Sergio Arevalo and his wife Alexya Ovalle Arevalo, daughter Jadyn Azucena Miller and her husband Raymond Francis Miller, grandkids Diego Rene Arevalo, Gabriel Antonio Arevalo, Jake Alexander Arevalo, Samantha Nicole Arevalo, Max Emmanuel Arevalo, Liliana Grace Miller, Raymond Anthony Miller, great granddaughter Valentina Arevalo, brother and sisters Maria Antonieta Mendizabal, Maria Christina Feliciano, Jose Alfonso Paz, Sandra Estrada and all family in Guatemala and throughout the United States.



Please join us as we gather for visitation at Vorheees Ingwersen Funeral Home, 59 Main Street, Ridgefield Park, NJ on Tuesday July 12, 2022 from 4 – 8pm and a mass at St Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, 114 Mt Vernon St., Ridgefield Park, NJ on Wednesday July 13, 2022 at 11am.
