Joyce M. Jones (nee Sheehan) of Paramus, formerly of Ridgefield Park, passed away peacefully at age 88 on December 18, 2025. Joyce was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Born and raised in Louisville, KY, she moved northeast in 1964, living in Queens, NY, before marrying and settling in Ridgefield Park, where she raised her family. She worked as an executive secretary for several businesses including the Hackensack Chamber of Commerce, from which she retired. Joyce was a proud Village resident for over 55 years. She devoted over 40 years in service to Emblem Club No. 101 in Ridgefield Park, proudly serving as its president three times. She was also a past president of the NJ state chapter of the Supreme Emblem Club.
Predeceased by husband James G., she is survived by daughters Jennifer Visconti and Joanna Sbaraglio (Jason); her grandchildren James and Emily Visconti; her brother, Mike Sheehan (Brenda); her sister, Shirley Sheehan; and her sister-in-law, Sis Sheehan. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she is reunited in the hereafter with her parents, Anna Mae (nee Fitzgerald) and Michael Sheehan, as well as siblings Bill Mullen, Betty Snell, Linda Redmon and John Sheehan.
A memorial gathering will be held at Vorhees-Ingwersen Funeral Home on January 17, 2026 beginning at 11 A.M. and concluding at 1 P.M. Burial to follow at a later date at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.
