Josephine Gebbia

Gebbia, Josephine F. (nee Sciacca) of Oradell was born in Hackensack on March 31, 1928. She entered into eternal life on April 23, 2016 at the age of 88. Josephine was a very active parishioner of St. Joseph's RC Church and the elementary school in Oradell, NJ. She was also a member of the Hackensack Chapter of UNICO. Josephine was predeceased by her husband Mario. She is survived by her loving children Mario and his wife Debbie, Barbara and her husband Carl. Cherished grandmother to Kristen, Victoria, Jennifer, Andrea and Katie and great grandmother to Raphael, Michael and angel Sebastian. Dear sister to Jean Smith of Columbia, SC and predeceased by her siblings Sara Sciacca, Frank Sciacca, Rose Verdi, Sadie Sciacca, Theresa Smith and Emma Sciacca. Beloved by her nieces and nephews known to many as "Grandma Jo" and all her friends at St. Joseph's RC Church. The family will receive friends at Vorhees Ingwersen Funeral Home 59 Main St. Ridgefield Park, NJ on Tuesday 4-8pm. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Joseph's RC Church 300 Elm Street, Oradell, NJ on Wednesday at 11am. Her final resting place will be at Saint Joseph's Cemetery, Hackensack, NJ.
