John W. Smith

John “Jack” W. Smith, 87, of Little Ferry, passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2023. He was the beloved husband of the late Edna M. (nee Morchen) and loving longtime companion to Olga Rosario and her children Joanna and Cynthia. John was the devoted father to Kenneth Smith and his wife Karen, Sharon Parsons and her husband Joseph, and Laura Smith. The greatest joy in his life were his cherished grandchildren Kelley, Tracey, Joseph, Ryan, and Jessica.

John was born in New York, NY to Mildred (nee Reed) and John Smith. Jack was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. After his discharge he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and worked as an Accountant at Nourison Industries in Saddle Brook, NJ for many years before his retirement. Jack was an active member of his community and was on the Little Ferry Board of Education and a member of The Republican Club. He was a huge baseball fan especially The New York Yankees. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 12th, beginning at 11 A.M. and concluding at 1 P.M. Interment to follow Maple Grove Memorial Park Cemetery with Military Honors.
