John C Ratynski

John C. Ratynski, age 88, a long-time resident of Little Ferry, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 25, 2025. John was born in Poland and emigrated to the United States with his family after WWII.  He was a letter carrier for the US Postal Service, delivering mail in Hackensack for many years until his retirement. John also worked for H&R Block and as a school bus driver. He also greeted customers and helped out in the office at Plaza Auto Repair. John was predeceased by his beloved wife of 60 years, Rose (nee Brady). He is survived by his daughters Carol Ann (husband Richard); Suzanne (husband Harry); Patricia (husband Elliot); and by his son, Michael. John is also survived by his cherished grandchildren Kelly, Alexander, and Jennifer, and by many other family and friends. John was predeceased by his youngest daughter, Cynthia, and by his sister Christine and her husband Albert.  John was an excellent polka dancer and a sought-after dance partner at many weddings. He also enjoyed bowling, day trips, and tending to his garden.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 2, from 1:00 P.M. to 4: 00 P.M. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, November 3, 10:00 A.M. at St. Margaret of Cortona R.C. Church, Little Ferry, followed by interment at Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery, Doylestown, PA.
