James F Gnecco, 81, of Ridgefield Park, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 04, 2026. Life long resident of Ridgefield Park, James was born to the late Marie and James F Gnecco. He was the beloved husband of the late Jeannette Gnecco, endeared brother of Sister Barbara and predeceased by his brother Barry. Beloved father to Tina, Teresa, Anne, James, Damien, & Christopher. Beloved father in law to Chris, Marc, Barbi, & Holly. Known as “Pops” to his 13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. James was a veteran of the US Navy during the Vietnam War and after his service an avid member to the Elks Club. For 41 years, James worked at Bell Atlantic / Verizon as a Field Technician, where his hard work and dedication was undeniable to all who knew him professionally. James loved engaging in conversation and spending quality time making memories with the company of those he loved. James “Pops” F Gnecco will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A Visitation in James’s honor will be held on Monday, January 12th, beginning at 3 P.M. and concluding at 8 P.M. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 13th, 9:30 A.M, at St. Francis R.C. Church, Ridgefield Park. Interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park Cemetery, Paramus.
