James John Garvey

James John Garvey, of New Milford, formerly of Ridgefield Park, passed away on Friday, July 9, 2021 at the age of 67 years. Jim aka Papa, James, Jimmy, Jimothy Brother was an amazing husband, pet dad, son, brother, uncle and friend. He was quick with a bingo dabber, loved his cruises and playing his lucky lottery numbers. A wonderful, kindhearted man who will be so missed, but left us with many happy memories to cherish. Veteran of the United States Navy from 1971 through 1974 during the Vietnam War and the United States Naval Reserve from 1974 through 1977. Customer service representative for Con Edison. Devoted husband of Armando Hiram Valenzuela Perez. Loving brother of Geraldine Sarrao and her husband John, Cindy Behrman and her husband George, Christine Cimmino and her husband Joe, Laura Baker and her husband John, Shirley Rocco and her husband Tony, and Alejandra Berenice Valenzuela Perez and her husband Marco. Cherished uncle of John, Mark, Jack, Derek, Tess, Michael, Nicky, Jake, Luke, Zack, and Anthony. James also leaves behind his beloved pets who he loved to spoil and were his heart and joy - Joey, Bonnie, Forest, Cookie, and Bandit. Jimmy will also be missed by his second family at Con Edison and his loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 18th from 2PM to 4PM. Cremation is private.
