Grace I. Manarevic (nee Gonnelli), of Whippany, (formerly of Ridgefield Park), passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at the age of 99. She was born in Jersey City, NJ to the late Constance (nee Alba) Gonnelli and the late Angelo Gonnelli. Grace was the beloved wife of the late Nicholas Manarevic, and devoted mother to JoAnne Fowler and her husband Bernie, Connie Nonn and her husband Klaus, Susan Lanza and her late husband Pat, Mark Manarevic, and the late Nick Manarevic. She was a cherished grandmother to Judi, Kristin, Dana, David, Megan, Stacy, Doug, and Aerie, and proud great grandmother to eleven wonderful great grandchildren. Grace was predeceased by husband Nicholas, her son Nick, great grandson Nicholas Cianciotto, 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
She worked as a Medical Receptionist for Dr. Bernard Fowler in Englewood for many years, where she was known for her compassion and dedication. Outside of work, Grace had a passion for cooking always delighting her family with delicious meals treasuring every moment they shared together. She also enjoyed spending time at the beach where she found peace and joy. Grace’s warmth and generosity extended beyond her family. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and always there to lend a helping hand or share a kind word. Grace will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A Visitation in Grace’s honor will be held on Wednesday, June 11th, beginning at 9 A.M. and concluding at 11 A.M. followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Francis R.C. Church, Ridgefield Park at 11:30 A.M. She will be laid to rest at St. Joseph Cemetery, Hackensack.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Grace’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Alzheimer’s Association.
