Glenn C Scanlon

Glenn C. Scanlon, 76, a longtime resident of Ridgefield Park, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, February 4, 2024. He was the beloved husband of 56 years to Jacqueline (nee Baresich). Glenn was the devoted father to Glenn Scanlon Jr. and his wife Margaret, and Donna Kitch and her husband Andrew. The greatest joy in his life were his cherished grandchildren Mikaela and Regan Scanlon and Anna and Andrew Kitch Jr. He is also survived by his sister Linda Thumann. Glenn was born in Hackensack, NJ to Jeanne (nee Knopf) and Herbert Scanlon. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army serving in Germany. Glenn was a lifelong salesman and opened up his company GlennCo servicing many local businesses with typewriters and office supplies. He was an active member of his community and was a long standing board member for the Ridgefield Park Little League Association and a beloved coach to many. He was also an honored member of the Knights of Columbus. Glenn enjoyed spending his time on the golf course, cheering on his favorite sport teams the Mets and Giants, and watching college basketball. He was loved by all and he will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.
