Guiseppina (Josephine), 84 years old, died peacefully on Thursday, July 31, 2025. Born on September 24, 1940, in Quaglietta, Italy (Campania Region), to Maria and Carmine Manniello. Giuseppina immigrated to Montreal, Canada at 19 years old. She learned to speak French and met the love of her life, Amato Raimo. The family moved to Ridgefield Park in 1968. Giuseppina enjoyed chatting on the phone, watching the Game Show, Cooking, and Italian channels along with The Catholic Network. She was a sweet, kind woman who enjoyed her family and friends. She was a fantastic cook, and all her meals were filled with love. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters at St. Francis Church, and the Senior Citizens Center of Ridgefield Park. Giuseppina is predeceased by her husband Amato. She is survived by her daughters Teresa Raimo of Ridgefield Park, and Dina Plavier and her husband John of Oakland. Cherished and loved Nonna to her granddaughter, Gianna Plavier, who is the light of her life. She is also survived by her big brother, Antonio Manniello, and loved by many nieces and nephews in the USA and Europe.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 6 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. A celebration of life and faith will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Ridgefield Park.
Burial will be private.
