Gerald P Schwartz

Gerald P. Schwartz, 79, of East Stroudsburg, PA (formerly of Tenafly, NJ), passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, April 30, 2023. He was the beloved husband of 32 years to Violet Tash Schwartz. Gerald was the devoted father of Judy Haase, Patty Lawlor, and Christine Wurttemberger and her husband Adam. The greatest joy in his life were his cherished grandchildren Dylan, Katie, Ryan, Desiree, Courtney, Jacee, James, and Cody, and great grandchildren Mckayla, Jordan, Vincent and Christopher.

Gerald was born in Englewood, NJ to the late Cathryn (nee Haase) and Stanley Schwartz. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army and fought in the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Blue Knights MC of Paterson NJ. Gerald loved to help people and pursed a rewarding career as Sargent in the Bergen County sheriff’s department. Most important to Gerald was his family and loved spending time with them. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

A celebration of Gerald’s life will take place on Thursday, May 4th beginning at 4 PM and concluding at 8 PM. Funeral Service Friday 10am. He will be laid to rest at Brookside Cemetery in Englewood, NJ.
