Elizabeth Labruna

February 13, 1957 — June 11, 2025

Elizabeth Labruna, of Little Ferry, a radiant soul whose light shone brightly, left us unexpectedly on Wednesday June 11, 2025.  Born in the vibrant heart of Jersey City, NJ to the late Edith (nee Palermo) Taylor and the late Harry Taylor, Elizabeth was a force of nature, whose presence was felt by all who knew her.  A true entrepreneur, Elizabeth carved her path in the world of real estate, working passionately as a Title Examiner for Action Title Research.  Her strong personality and humble beginnings were the foundations upon which she built a life full of adventure, and generosity.  A beloved wife to Karan Prabhakar, a devoted mother to Elyssa and Nicholas Labruna and his wife Patrizia, and a cherished grandmother to Lianna, her love for her family and friends knew no bounds.  Elizabeth’s thirst for life was unparalleled.  Her fondness for dogs was the cornerstone of her life, she was the founder of The Schnauzer Owners of the North East Group, where she found immense happiness and fulfillment in being surrounded by her furry friends especially her own pups Zoey, Raven, and Liza.  She found adoration in the simplest of pleasures whether it was the timeless melodies of Led Zepplin, attending concerts, traveling the world, or the roar of a powerful engine of a classic car.  Her selflessness were the hallmarks of her character, always putting others before herself.  Elizabeth’s spirit and boisterous laugh will forever resonate in the hearts of those she touched.  Her legacy of strength, and compassion will forever continue to inspire us all.

A Celebration of Life in Elizabeth’s honor will be held on Saturday, June 14th, beginning at 2 P.M. and concluding at 4 P.M.
