Edward Reistetter

Edward Reistetter, long-time resident of Ridgefield Park, passed away with family by his side, on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at the age of 94. Born in Brooklyn New York in 1928, Ed was a long-time employee at New York Life where he met Helen, the love of his life. They married on December 26, 1950 and shared 67 years together. He served in the 140th tank battalion in the Korean War. Ed was a member of the Knights of Columbus, parishioner, lector and leader of song at Saint Francis R.C. Church. Ed loved music and travel and was an accomplished woodworker. He enjoyed taking long walks. He had quite the green thumb and shared his garden’s bounty with family and friends.

Beloved husband of the late Helen (nee Kraljic) Reistetter. Loving father of Carol Houlik and the late Janet Reistetter. Cherished brother of the late Julia Abrahamsen. Devoted uncle of Thomas, Jayne and Peter Kraljic. Ed is also survived by his sister-in-law Marie Kraljic.

Viewing on Monday, November 28th from 3 - 7 PM at Vorhees Ingwersen Funeral Home. The funeral from Vorhees Ingwersen Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 29th at 9AM. The funeral mass will be offered 9:30AM at St. Francis RC. Church in Ridgefield Park. Interment will follow at Madonna Cemetery in Fort Lee.
