Denise M Gentile

With profound sorrow and a heavy heart, we announce the passing of Denise M. Gentile, 65, of Bogota, who left us on Thursday, September 4, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.  Born in Jersey City, NJ to Marie (nee Kennely) Mika and Thomas Mika, Denise’s life was a beacon of love, warmth, and unwavering strength.

Denise was the beloved wife of the late Felix Gentile, with whom she spent many wonderful years together, and devoted mother of Richard Gentile and his wife Jesse, and Daniel and Eric Gentile, and adoring grandmother of Dylan, Evan, and Brooklyn, whose laughter and joy were the light of her life.  Denise had a passion for cooking, and her culinary creations were a testament to her love and care for her family and friends.  She cherished family outings, always finding happiness in sharing memories, laughter, and special moments with her loved ones.  She was a treasured friend to Grace, Cook, and Mary, and her presence brought delightful comfort to all who knew her.

Denise spent many years as a Customer Service Representative at Stop & Shop in Kinnelon, where her kindness and dedication touched the lives of countless customers.  Her legacy of love, friendships, and resilience will forever live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A Visitation in Denise’s honor will be held on Friday, September 12th, beginning at 5 P.M. and concluding with a Catholic Blessing at 8:30 P.M.  Cremation will be private.
