Brad Heaney

Richard Bradley Heaney “Brad”, was born on December 17th 1946 to Irving and Helen Heaney in The Bronx, New York. Over the next few years he was joined by brothers John, Neil, and James. He attended school first at Saint Joseph’s in Teaneck, Seminary in New England, and received a masters degree in Sociology from SIUE. He was married on 11/27/1970 to Kathleen Burke and they had two children Brendan and Patrick. Brad was an avid sports fan with his favorite teams being the Mets, Giants, and Devils. He was a huge fan of music with his favorites being Blondie, Steely Dan, Willie Nelson and Glenn Miller. Brad will ultimately be remembered as a kind and generous father, husband, friend and Grandfather. His favorite activity later in life was spending time with his grandson Christopher listening to music and reading books together. He is survived by his wife Kathy, brothers John and James, sons Brendan and Patrick, daughters-in-law Brianne and Angela, and grandson Christopher. Visitation in Brad's honor will be held on Monday, February 24th, beginning at 4 P.M. and concluding at 8 P.M. Cremation will be private.
