Benjamin J Busby

Benjamin J. Busby, 79, a longtime resident of Ridgefield Park NJ, passed away on July 13, 2024 at Bergen New Bridge Medical Center.


Ben was born in New York City on January 30, 1945 to Willfred and Genevieve (Maple) Busby. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Maryann (Nolan), his three sons John (Erin), Stephen (Cathleen) and Michael (Dana) and grandchildren Nicholas, Alexander (Maria), Ryan, Sean, Drew, Aden, Brynn and Natalie. He is also survived by his brother, Willfred (Paula), a nephew, two nieces, a great niece, and a great-great niece. He was predeceased by his parents Willfred and Genevieve (Maple) and his sister, Peggy McGuire.


Ben graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a B.S. in Civil Engineering with honors. He worked as a Plant Engineering and Maintenance Manager in the specialty chemical and pharmaceutical industry. In his later years he worked for Bergen Regional Medical Center from which he retired.


Ben was a Cub Scout Master for Pack 203, Vice President of Grant School PTA and a member of the Ridgefield Park Seniors Club as well as an avid Disney fan.


He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
