Barbara A Watson

Barbara A. (nee VonderLinden) Watson, of Bogota, a beacon of love and wisdom, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 73.  Born in Jersey City, New Jersey to the late Harriet (nee White) and the late Herbert VonderLinden, she was the endeared sibling of 7 sisters.  Barbara was the beloved wife of the late Eugene Watson, and devoted mother of Jeannie Rosado and her husband Gregory, Nadine Poltorak and her husband Tom, Richard Watson and his wife Jaimelyn, Leighann Watson and her husband Jonathan, and Charles Watson and his wife Maryann.  Her legacy of love continues through her cherished grandchildren, Olivia, Owen, Delilah, Dakota, Samantha, Darren, Sabrina, Savannah, Kayleigh, Everleigh, Salleyh, and Jayvon,

Barbara’s life was a tapestry of kindness and dedication to family and friends.  She found pure joy in teaching children the importance of education especially multiplication tables and crafting with them, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts.  Her love extended to many passions, from the strategic thrill of card games to the delicate art of crocheting, and spending quiet afternoons bonding and sipping tea with Olivia.  Barbara also enjoyed every moment spent around the dinner table, sharing delicious meals and laughter with family.  Her home was a haven of warmth, where every gathering was filled with happiness and connection.  A constant and enthusiastic presence at her grandchildren’s sporting events, Barbara’s devotion to her family was unwavering.  Her kindness and generosity touched everyone who knew her.  She will be deeply missed, but her spirit and precious memories will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
