Barbara Updike

Barbara Marie Updike, lifelong resident of Ridgefield Park, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, April 14, 2019 at the age of 83 years. She was born in Jersey City and grew up in West New York before moving to Ridgefield Park. Avid cruise ship traveler with more than 25 trips, mostly to her favorite vacation spot the Caribbean. Beloved sister of Margaret De Filippis and her husband the late Michael, and the late Harold Van Wageninge and his late wife Mae. Adored aunt of Michael De Filippis and his wife Cheryl, and Gary De Filippis. Cherished great aunt of Danielle, Ashley, and Michael. Devoted caregiver to countless stuffed animals. The Funeral Service will be 10 AM on Wednesday, April 17th at Vorhees Ingwersen Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Park Cemetery in Hackensack. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 6-8 PM.
