Obituary

Alice (nee Erfmann) Baum, 90, of Bogota, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 1, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Hoboken, NJ to the late Edith (nee Cottam) Erfmann and the late John Erfmann, Alice lived a life that was both joyful and full of care. She was the beloved wife of the late Walter Baum, with whom she shared a lifetime of companionship and devotion.

Alice was a loving mother of Katharine Gorman and proud grandmother of Kayleigh Gorman.

A dedicated Secretary at IMS Healthcare in Totowa, she balanced her professional life with vibrant passions. She enjoyed the simple pleasures whether bowling with friends, trying her luck on scratch offs, or enjoying the thrill of Atlantic City trips. Alice’s voice, once heard in hotel lounges as she sang, carried her warmth into the hearts of many. She adored animals, especially dogs, and her kindness was a steadfast as it was genuine. Alice’s presence made life brighter for everyone around her. A good hearted soul, Alice will be missed beyond words but remembered forever by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A Visitation in Alice’s honor will be held on Thursday, May 7th, beginning at 4 P.M. and concluding at 7 P.M. Cremation will be private.
